what kind of vicodin is a blend of oxycotin and acetaminophen?

Im pretty shure that theres no such object as it but my friend insists that that is what he was prescribed. I think he was talking approximately a 500mg dose of acetaminophen with a 5mg dose of hydrocodone.

You're correct, there's no such thing. Vicodin is the brand name of a medication containing hydrocodone and acetaminophen, like you said. Therefore, your friend could not have taken vicodin that contained oxycotin it's possible that he took a combination of oxycodone and acetaminophen, better known as the drug Percocet. But people misuse the names all the time.
