Will stint in rehab prevent admission into Air Force Rotc?

2 years ago I voluntarily checked myself into a rehab center for ultram(pain killer) addiction. Took them for my back hurting and it just spiraled down. The back is fine now. I have been clean and sober since then. But I wish to apply to Afrotc with the intention of going Poc as a sophomore, and I don't know how it will affect my application. I'm not in the habit of mendacity to the federal government, even though I know they can't dig into my records (or won't as my best friend went in the Army as a Sf recruit, even though he had a torn meniscus and didn't mention it and survived the Fbi looking into him for his Ts security clearance).

So I just want to know if this will Dq me on the spot and what's the policy for Rotc applicants?

I have a 3.4 Gpa, so I'm not dumb. I just did something silly. So please don't remark whether it's to lecture or to say I don't belong. I just want cold tough fact. Do they check civilian medical history? Will the rehab receive me Dqed?
RE: Txguy

I understand their position, and I would be the same way if I owned a commerce. Thanks for the answer though.

Yes it will disqualify you in the end.

First you will need to qualify by wanting to get a measure in an area the Af needs.
This is usually in science or engineering to have a good chance. (yes, there are people who enter the Air Force with non-technical degrees, but these are usually individuals who are already on active duty enlisted and want to be an officer. with your rehab thing, there is an option to have a waiver with your Rotc application, but I have seen very, very few of these approved. No, I won't preach, but put yourself in the Air Force's position. You have thousands of applicants who want a free education in Rotc and a guaranteed job as an officer in the Air Force. Why would you give a waiver to a guy who has a history of drug abuse over a guy who has a perfectly clean history? Like I said, its very, very rare that the waiver would be approved.

Whatever you do, good luck to you.
