Will vicodin make me vomit if I have a sensitive stomach?

I'm have very poor back hurting and the physician gave me a prescription for liquid vicodin lortab elixir (7.5mg/15ml I have a very touchy belly though. My dad had a really tough time getting off of it and it made him throw up sometimes. I'm afraid to take it whether it will make me vomit.

Take the medication with food you should be ok. I'm allergic to Vicodin and vomiting is a allergic reaction for me.
