On Lexapro For 1 Day And Nothing But Hell!! Adive Plz!?
So basically i was diagnosed with a gentle case of General anxiety disorder.. so my doctor prescribed me lexapro 10mg let me say that i Remorse taking it! Im not eating, im having bloodless sweats, racing heartbeat, very dry mouth, sexual dysfunction..and just plain out of it! And i took it at 3pm yesterday and didnt take it today, i refuse to continue..my impeach is after only 1 day of taking it is it possible to feel any withdrawels? i tried calling my doc but that f didnt call back.
i feel better now, but i'll randomly have a racing heartbeat.. i just dont want to put up with all this anymore...
Im just scared to take it again though..i Literally felt crazy and had very nasty thoughts! I almost went to the Er but tried to disregard the symptoms.. that one pill caused me the worse anxiety ever!
When I first started taking Lexapro, there were really crappy side effects at first, but then it got a lot better after a few days and negative effects disappeared in a few weeks.

1 day will not give you withdrawals.
In general, unless you're having serious symptoms, you should continue taking it as prescribed. Notwithstanding, it sounds like you're having awful side effects. Make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible to discuss what's happening and alternate treatments.
For what it's worth, I was on Lexapro and I had a racing heart for the first day but that stopped. The other symptoms you listed are all common side effects of this medication and should go away with time, but if you're unwilling to put up with them for now, you need to speak with your doctor as soon as possible.
