Not unless it happens to be tramadol Er(a sustained release formulation). Crushing, cutting or chewing sustained release formulations can subject you to a large amount of medication over a very short time. Breaking a steady tramadol tablet won't do anything. To absorb it faster you could crush it. Your stomach or gut have to dissolve a pill for it to be absorbed. By crushing it you make it faster to absorb.
